Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/BS/CDTF/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Design Thinking Facilitator (CDTF) course is designed to equip professionals with the skills and methodologies to effectively guide teams through the design thinking process to foster innovation and solve complex problems. The course covers the stages of design thinking including empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Design Thinking: History and Principles of Design Thinking, Key Stages of the Design Thinking Process, Human-Centered Design Approach, Benefits and Applications Across Industries, Role of a Design Thinking Facilitator, Common Myths and Misconceptions.

Module 2: Empathy and User Research: Techniques for Empathy Building, Conducting User Interviews and Observations, Creating User Personas, Mapping Customer Journeys, Tools for Gathering and Analyzing User Insights, Ethical Considerations in User Research.

Module 3: Ideation and Creative Problem Solving: Brainstorming Techniques and Best Practices, Encouraging Divergent and Convergent Thinking, Using Creative Tools and Methods (SCAMPER, Mind Mapping), Facilitating Group Ideation Sessions, Overcoming Creative Blocks, Prioritizing Ideas for Development.

Module 4: Prototyping and Experimentation: Types of Prototypes and Their Purposes, Low-Fidelity vs. High-Fidelity Prototyping, Rapid Prototyping Techniques, Gathering Feedback on Prototypes, Iterative Design and Testing Cycles, Tools and Materials for Prototyping.

Module 5: Facilitation Skills and Techniques: Planning and Structuring Design Thinking Workshops, Managing Group Dynamics and Engagement, Effective Questioning and Listening, Conflict Resolution in Workshops, Time Management and Agenda Setting, Virtual and Hybrid Facilitation Best Practices.

Module 6: Implementation and Scaling Design Thinking: Integrating Design Thinking into Organizational Culture, Measuring Impact and Success of Initiatives, Scaling Solutions Across Teams and Departments, Leading Change and Overcoming Resistance, Building Cross-Functional Collaboration, Case Studies and Continuous Learning.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
