Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/AT/CDTPS/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Digital Textile Printing Specialist course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills in digital printing technologies applied to textiles. Participants will learn about various digital printing methods, ink types, fabric compatibility, color management, pre- and post-treatment processes, and quality control techniques. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Digital Textile Printing: Overview of Digital Textile Printing, Evolution of Digital Printing in Textiles, Comparison Between Traditional and Digital Printing Methods, Advantages of Digital Textile Printing, Key Technologies and Tools Used in Digital Printing, Industry Trends and Market Demand for Digital Printing.

Module 2: Digital Printing Techniques and Processes: Types of Digital Printing (Inkjet, Sublimation, Direct-to-Fabric, etc.), Printing on Different Textile Substrates (Cotton, Silk, Polyester, etc.), Pre-treatment and Post-treatment Processes in Digital Printing, Ink Types and Their Applications (Reactive, Pigment, Acid, etc.), Print Head Technologies and Their Impact on Print Quality, Print Resolution and Design Precision.

Module 3: Color Management and Digital Printing: Understanding Color Models and Color Spaces (RGB, CMYK, etc.), Color Calibration and Profiling in Digital Printing, Managing Color Consistency Across Different Media, Techniques for Accurate Color Reproduction, Color Matching and Fastness in Digital Printing, Tools and Software for Color Management.

Module 4: Design Creation and Preparation for Digital Printing: Design Formats and File Preparation for Digital Printing (Raster vs. Vector), Creating Designs Using Textile Design Software, Optimizing Designs for Digital Printing (Resolution, File Size, Color Profile), Rasterizing and Vectorizing Designs for Print, Preparing Print Files for Production (ICC Profiles, Color Separation), Managing Print Jobs and Data Integrity.

Module 5: Digital Printing Equipment and Maintenance:Digital Printing Machines and Their Components (Printers, Inks, Print Heads), Types of Printers for Textile Applications (Roll-to-Roll, Flatbed, etc.), Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Digital Printers, Calibration and Performance Testing of Printing Machines, Preventing Print Defects (Banding, Smearing, etc.), Managing Ink and Consumables.

Module 6: Sustainability and Future Trends in Digital Textile Printing: Eco-friendly Practices in Digital Textile Printing, Sustainable Inks and Fabrics for Digital Printing, Reducing Waste and Energy Consumption in Digital Printing, Future Technologies in Digital Textile Printing (3D Printing, Nano-inks, etc.), Innovations in Customization and Personalization of Textile Products, Market Growth and the Role of Digital Printing in the Future of Fashion and Textiles.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
