Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Drywall Installer course is to equip participants with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required to accurately install and finish drywall panels in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The course covers drywall types, cutting and fitting techniques, fastening methods, taping, mudding, sanding, and surface preparation for painting or finishing.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Drywall Installation: Overview of drywall and its applications, Roles and responsibilities of a drywall installer, Types of drywall panels, Basic drywall terminology, Tools and equipment used in drywall installation, Safety practices on drywall job sites.

Module 2: Materials and Tools: Types of drywall sheets (standard, moisture-resistant, fire-rated), Joint compounds and tapes, Fasteners and anchors, Cutting and shaping tools, Power tools and accessories, Maintenance and care of tools.

Module 3: Surface Preparation and Layout: Preparing framing and substrates, Measuring and marking for drywall installation, Layout planning and panel fitting, Handling and storage of drywall sheets, Environmental considerations, Inspecting surfaces before installation.

Module 4: Drywall Installation Techniques: Hanging drywall panels on walls and ceilings, Fastening techniques (screws, nails), Cutting openings for doors, windows, and fixtures, Installing drywall in various environments, Use of lifts and scaffolding, Safety during installation.

Module 5: Joint Finishing and Repair: Taping and applying joint compound, Sanding and smoothing seams, Corner bead installation, Repairing cracks, holes, and damage, Texturing and finishing techniques, Quality control and inspection.

Module 6: Safety and Quality Management: Personal protective equipment (PPE), Handling dust and airborne particles, Safe lifting and material handling, Waste disposal and environmental practices, Inspection and compliance with standards, Communication and teamwork on site.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
