Objective:The Certified Ecotourism Manager course is designed to prepare participants to lead and manage ecotourism initiatives that prioritize environmental conservation, community engagement, and sustainable business practices. The course provides in-depth knowledge of ecotourism principles, environmental impact assessments, conservation strategies, community-based tourism, sustainable development goals (SDGs), marketing, and regulatory compliance. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Ecotourism: Definition and Principles of Ecotourism, History and Growth of Ecotourism, Differences Between Ecotourism and Mass Tourism, Core Values: Conservation, Community, and Education, Role of Ecotourism in Sustainable Development, Global and Indian Ecotourism Destinations.

Module 2: Ecotourism Planning and Development: Steps in Ecotourism Planning, Site Selection and Resource Assessment, Designing Low-impact Infrastructure, Community Involvement and Benefit-sharing, Interpretation and Visitor Education Programs, Monitoring and Evaluation Techniques.

Module 3: Environmental Conservation and Management: Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, Human-Wildlife Interaction and Conflict Management, Waste Management and Eco-friendly Practices, Renewable Energy and Water Conservation, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Protected Area Management and Buffer Zones.

Module 4: Community Participation and Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding Local Communities and Indigenous Knowledge, Capacity Building and Local Employment, Promoting Local Handicrafts and Cuisine, Managing Cultural Heritage Sites Responsibly, Cross-cultural Communication and Ethics, Case Studies of Successful Community-based Ecotourism.

Module 5: Ecotourism Operations and Management: Tour Design and Ecotour Guide Training, Booking Systems and Customer Service, Risk and Safety Management, Licensing and Certification Standards, Eco-lodge and Campground Management, Sustainable Transport and Activity Planning.

Module 6: Marketing, Policy and Entrepreneurship in Ecotourism: Ecotourism Branding and Eco-labels, Digital Marketing and Responsible Promotion, Government Policies and Incentives, International Guidelines and Best Practices (UNWTO, GSTC), Developing Business Plans and Revenue Models, Trends and Innovations in Ecotourism Entrepreneurship.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
