The program covers key concepts such as edge device management, distributed computing, data processing at the edge, network optimization, security challenges, and integration with cloud and IoT systems. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Edge Computing: Definition and evolution of edge computing, Differences between edge, cloud, and fog computing, Key drivers and benefits of edge computing, Edge computing use cases and applications, Edge computing architecture overview, Challenges and limitations of edge computing.

Module 2: Edge Computing Infrastructure and Hardware: Edge devices and sensors, Edge gateways and micro data centers, Networking components for edge environments, Hardware considerations for edge deployments, Resource constraints and optimization, Edge computing platforms and vendors.

Module 3: Edge Networking and Communication Protocols: Networking fundamentals for edge, Low-latency and high-reliability networking, Protocols used in edge computing (MQTT, CoAP, DDS), 5G and edge integration, Network security at the edge, Software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).

Module 4: Edge Data Management and Analytics: Data collection and preprocessing at the edge, Edge data storage solutions, Real-time data analytics and streaming, Machine learning and AI at the edge, Data synchronization with cloud, Managing data privacy and compliance at the edge.

Module 5: Security and Privacy in Edge Computing: Threats and vulnerabilities specific to edge, Edge security architecture, Authentication and access control mechanisms, Data encryption and secure communication, Secure device management and firmware updates, Privacy-preserving techniques and regulations.

Module 6: Edge Computing Deployment and Management: Edge application development and deployment strategies, Containerization and orchestration at the edge (Kubernetes, Docker), Monitoring and management tools, Scalability and fault tolerance, Integration with cloud services, Case studies and industry best practices.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
