Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HF/CET/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 1 year of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Exercise Therapist course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to use therapeutic exercise as a tool to support injury recovery, chronic condition management, and overall physical rehabilitation. The course covers functional anatomy, biomechanics, exercise prescription, corrective and therapeutic exercises, pain management principles, mobility and stability training, and client assessment.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Exercise Therapy: Overview of Exercise Therapy, Role of an Exercise Therapist, Key Terminology and Concepts, Importance of Therapeutic Exercise in Rehabilitation, Scope of Practice and Professional Boundaries, Safety and Ethical Considerations

Module 2: Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology: Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Joint Structure and Function, Neuromuscular Physiology, Biomechanics and Human Movement, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiology, Application of Kinesiology in Exercise Therapy

Module 3: Assessment and Clinical Screening: Patient History and Health Screening, Postural and Movement Assessment, Range of Motion and Flexibility Testing, Strength and Functional Capacity Evaluation, Pain Assessment and Red Flag Identification, Documentation and Referral Protocols

Module 4: Therapeutic Exercise Programming: Designing Rehabilitation Exercise Programs, Corrective and Functional Exercise Techniques, Strength and Mobility Training, Balance and Neuromotor Exercises, Progression and Regression Strategies, Injury Prevention and Safety Management

Module 5: Special Populations and Clinical Conditions: Exercise Therapy for Orthopedic Conditions, Chronic Disease Management through Exercise, Post-Surgical Rehabilitation Support, Exercise Considerations for Older Adults, Neurological and Mobility Limitations, Adaptive Exercise Strategies

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
