Duration: One Month.

Eligibility: 10+2 Grade (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The Certified Food Production Technician course aims to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in food preparation, production processes, and kitchen operations. The program covers hygiene and safety standards, food handling techniques, cooking methods, inventory management, quality control, and basic nutrition principles. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Food Production: Overview of Food Production Industry, Types of Food Production Systems, Roles and Responsibilities of Food Production Technician, Kitchen Organization and Workflow, Food Safety and Hygiene Basics, Kitchen Equipment and Tools.

Module 2: Food Ingredients and Their Uses: Types of Ingredients (Proteins, Carbohydrates, Fats, Vegetables, Spices), Selection and Quality Assessment of Ingredients, Seasonal and Regional Ingredient Variations, Food Storage and Preservation Techniques, Impact of Ingredients on Taste and Texture, Allergens and Dietary Considerations.

Module 3: Cooking Methods and Techniques: Basic Cooking Methods (Boiling, Grilling, Baking, Frying, Steaming, Roasting), Advanced Techniques (Sous-vide, Smoking, Fermentation), Temperature Control and Cooking Times, Use of Sauces and Stocks, Knife Skills and Food Preparation, Plating and Presentation Basics.

Module 4: Food Production Planning and Cost Control: Menu Planning and Recipe Standardization, Portion Control and Yield Management, Costing and Budgeting, Inventory Management and Procurement, Waste Reduction Techniques, Quality Control and Consistency.

Module 5: Health, Safety, and Hygiene in Food Production: Personal Hygiene and Food Handling Practices, Sanitation Procedures and Cleaning Schedules, HACCP Principles and Implementation, Foodborne Illnesses and Prevention, Pest Control Measures, Legal and Regulatory Compliance in Food Safety.

Module 6: Teamwork and Professional Skills: Communication and Coordination in Kitchen Teams, Time Management and Multitasking, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Training and Supervising Junior Staff, Adaptability to Kitchen Environment, Career Development and Continuous Learning.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
