Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Food Safety Fundamentals: Introduction to Food Safety, Importance of Food Safety Management, Foodborne Illnesses and Outbreaks, Types of Contaminants (Biological, Chemical, Physical), Food Safety Regulations and Standards, Role of a Food Safety Manager.

Module 2: Microbiology and Foodborne Pathogens: Common Foodborne Pathogens (Bacteria, Viruses, Parasites), Growth and Survival Conditions of Microorganisms, Cross-contamination and Sources, Symptoms and Prevention of Foodborne Illnesses, Safe Food Handling Practices, Monitoring and Controlling Pathogens.

Module 3: Personal Hygiene and Employee Practices: Personal Hygiene Requirements, Handwashing Techniques, Health Policies for Food Handlers, Employee Training and Responsibilities, Use of Protective Clothing, Reporting Illness and Exclusion Policies.

Module 4: Safe Food Handling and Preparation: Receiving and Inspecting Food, Proper Storage and Temperature Control, Thawing, Cooking, Cooling, and Reheating Procedures, Preventing Cross-contamination in Food Prep, Allergen Management and Labeling, Cleaning and Sanitizing Food Contact Surfaces.

Module 5: Facility and Equipment Management: Design and Layout for Food Safety, Maintenance of Equipment, Pest Control Methods, Cleaning and Sanitizing Protocols, Waste Management, Monitoring and Recordkeeping.

Module 6: Food Safety Management Systems: Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Principles, Developing and Implementing Food Safety Plans, Internal Audits and Inspections, Corrective Actions and Documentation, Emergency Response Planning, Continuous Improvement and Training.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
