Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 1 year of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified General Duty Assistant (GDA) course aims to train learners to provide basic patient care and support services in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities under the supervision of nursing staff. The program focuses on developing practical skills related to patient hygiene, mobility assistance, feeding, positioning, and maintaining comfort. Learners are taught how to measure and record vital signs, assist in routine clinical procedures, ensure infection-control practices, and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to General Duty Assistance: Role and responsibilities of a GDA, Hospital departments and workflow basics, Professional behavior and ethics, Patient rights and confidentiality, Basic medical terminology, Communication skills in healthcare

Module 2: Human Anatomy & Physiology Basics: Overview of major body systems, Normal vital signs and functions, Common diseases and disorders, Age-related physiological changes, Body mechanics and posture principles, Recognizing symptoms requiring reporting

Module 3: Patient Care & Daily Living Assistance: Bathing, grooming and hygiene care, Feeding and nutrition support, Bed-making and patient positioning, Mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques, Toileting and incontinence care, Pressure sore prevention and skin care

Module 4: Infection Control & Hospital Safety: Principles of infection prevention, Hand hygiene and PPE usage, Biomedical waste management, Maintaining a clean and safe environment, Fire and safety protocols, Fall prevention and hazard identification

Module 5: Basic Clinical Skills & Procedures: Measuring vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration), Assisting with specimen collection, Monitoring intake and output, Assisting with medical equipment (oxygen, catheters, etc.), Preparing patients for procedures, Documentation and reporting

Module 6: Emergency Care & Professional Development: Identifying medical emergencies, Basic first aid and CPR awareness, Assisting during emergency codes, Stress management and self-care for GDAs, Teamwork and coordination with healthcare staff, Career growth and continuous learning

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
