Objective: The Certified Hotel Facilities Manager course is designed to equip participants with the technical and managerial skills required to oversee the upkeep and functionality of hotel facilities. The course covers building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), preventive and corrective maintenance, vendor coordination, safety and compliance standards, energy management, and sustainability practices.ย

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Hotel Facilities Management: Roles and responsibilities of a Hotel Facilities Manager, Overview of hotel infrastructure and service systems, Coordination with housekeeping, engineering, security, and front office, Understanding guest comfort, safety, and operational efficiency, Legal and compliance aspects in facility management, Preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.

Module 2: Building Systems and Technical Operations: Basics of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in hotels, Operation and upkeep of elevators, boilers, and generators, Maintenance of lighting, water supply, and drainage systems, Energy conservation and utility management practices, Monitoring building automation systems (BAS), Troubleshooting and reporting mechanical issues.

Module 3: Maintenance Planning and Asset Management: Preventive maintenance scheduling and execution, Asset lifecycle management and recordkeeping, Handling service contracts and vendor management, Work order systems and task assignment procedures, Equipment calibration and inventory control, Budgeting for maintenance and capital repairs.

Module 4: Health, Safety, and Risk Management: Fire safety systems and emergency response protocols, Workplace safety practices and hazard identification, Health and sanitation compliance in guest and staff areas, Risk assessment and disaster preparedness plans, Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and audits, Conducting staff safety training and mock drills.

Module 5: Environmental Sustainability and Waste Management: Implementing green building practices and energy-efficient solutions, Water conservation and reuse systems in hotel operations, Sustainable waste segregation, recycling, and disposal methods, Reducing carbon footprint through facility upgrades, Compliance with environmental regulations and certifications, Promoting eco-conscious culture among staff and guests.

Module 6: Facility Operations, Documentation, and Communication: Creating SOPs and facility operation manuals, Maintaining daily logs, inspection reports, and checklists, Coordinating with hotel management and service departments, Managing guest complaints related to facilities, Vendor negotiations and contract administration, Using facility management software and reporting tools.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
