The program covers IT infrastructure, property management systems (PMS), network security, data management, software integration, IT support, and emerging hospitality technologies.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Hotel IT Systems and Infrastructure: Overview of hotel technology landscape and IT management roles, Key systems in hospitality: PMS, POS, CRS, RMS, CRM, and BMS, Networking basics: LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and internet redundancy, Hardware infrastructure: servers, routers, switches, endpoints, Understanding IT requirements across departments: front office, housekeeping, F&B, Aligning IT strategy with hotel operations and guest service goals.

Module 2: Property Management Systems (PMS) and Key Integrations: Core functions and architecture of modern PMS platforms, Integration with POS, channel managers, booking engines, and OTAs, Real-time data synchronization and guest profile management, Managing reservations, check-in/check-out, and room assignments, Troubleshooting and maintaining PMS uptime and performance, Training staff on PMS features and usage best practices.

Module 3: Data Security, Privacy, and Regulatory Compliance: Cybersecurity principles specific to hospitality IT environments, Guest data protection and handling practices (PCI DSS, GDPR), Implementing access controls, data encryption, and firewall policies, Managing Wi-Fi access for guests, staff, and vendors securely, Preventing phishing, malware, and data breach risks, Conducting IT audits and ensuring legal and corporate compliance.

Module 4: Network, Server, and Communication System Management: Planning and maintaining hotel-wide wired and wireless networks, Server management: hosting PMS, databases, backups, and logs, Setting up and supporting VoIP, IP-PBX, and call center systems, Managing video surveillance systems and door access technologies, Load balancing, bandwidth optimization, and downtime prevention, Ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

Module 5: Technology Support, Vendor Coordination, and IT Operations: Helpdesk management and troubleshooting guest/staff IT issues, Coordinating with third-party vendors for hardware and software, Asset tracking, license management, and procurement planning, Drafting and enforcing IT SOPs and usage policies, Monitoring SLAs and evaluating vendor performance, Budgeting and resource allocation for IT infrastructure and upgrades.

Module 6: Emerging Technologies and Digital Transformation in Hospitality: Trends in smart hotels, IoT, mobile-first systems, and automation, Cloud computing and SaaS adoption in hotel operations, AI-powered chatbots, virtual concierge, and digital check-in/out, Role of IT in driving guest experience and loyalty, Sustainability through energy-efficient tech and paperless systems, Building future-ready IT strategies and career growth as a hotel IT leader.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
