Eligibility: 10+2 Grade (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The Certified Laundry & Housekeeping Supervisor course is designed to equip participants with the supervisory skills and operational knowledge required to oversee the integrated functions of laundry and housekeeping departments. The course covers planning and delegation of duties, staff supervision and training, inspection of rooms and linen quality, inventory and supply management, equipment handling, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Laundry and Housekeeping Supervision: Roles and responsibilities of a Laundry & Housekeeping Supervisor, Overview of laundry and housekeeping operations in hospitality, Coordination between laundry, rooms division, and public areas, Understanding SOPs for both departments, Time management and daily workflow planning, Importance of guest satisfaction and service standards.

Module 2: Laundry Operations and Fabric Care: Classification and sorting of linen, uniforms, and guest laundry, Washing, drying, and ironing procedures for various fabrics, Safe handling and usage of laundry equipment and chemicals, Stain removal techniques and garment care, Managing laundry schedules and delivery timelines, Inspecting finished laundry for quality assurance.

Module 3: Housekeeping Procedures and Quality Control: Supervising guest room and public area cleaning, Monitoring compliance with cleaning standards and hygiene protocols, Conducting inspections and using housekeeping checklists, Ensuring room readiness and inventory of supplies, Coordinating turn-down service and special requests, Managing deep cleaning and preventive maintenance.

Module 4: Staff Management and Training: Preparing duty rosters and allocating tasks, Onboarding and training of laundry and housekeeping staff, Evaluating performance and providing constructive feedback, Maintaining grooming and conduct standards, Handling staff grievances and promoting teamwork, Conducting briefing and motivational sessions.

Module 5: Inventory, Linen, and Equipment Management: Managing inventory of linen, uniforms, amenities, and cleaning supplies, Issuance and tracking of linen and garments, Maintenance and calibration of cleaning and laundry equipment, Monitoring consumption and preventing wastage, Requisitioning and stock replenishment procedures, Recordkeeping for cost control and reporting.

Module 6: Safety, Hygiene, and Guest Service Coordination: Ensuring adherence to health, hygiene, and safety regulations, Training staff in use of PPE and emergency procedures, Coordinating with front office for room status updates, Handling guest complaints and special service requests, Promoting eco-friendly and sustainable practices, Supporting audits, inspections, and quality certification efforts.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
