Objective: The Certified Medical Transcriptionist course is designed to equip learners with the skills to accurately transcribe medical reports, notes, and records from audio dictations by healthcare professionals. The course covers medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, transcription techniques, grammar, punctuation, and the use of transcription software.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Medical Transcription: Role and Responsibilities of a Medical Transcriptionist, Overview of Medical Transcription Industry, Medical Terminology Basics, Understanding Healthcare Documentation, Types of Medical Reports, Ethical and Legal Considerations.

Module 2: Medical Terminology and Anatomy: Body Systems and Functions, Common Medical Terms and Abbreviations, Disease and Disorder Terminology, Diagnostic and Procedural Terms, Pharmacology Basics, Understanding Medical Prefixes, Suffixes, and Root Words.

Module 3: Transcription Techniques and Tools: Transcription Equipment and Software, Audio Listening Skills, Formatting and Editing Transcripts, Spell Checking and Grammar Tools, Medical Transcription Style Guides, Time Management and Accuracy Tips.

Module 4: Medical Reports and Formats: Inpatient and Outpatient Reports, Operative and Surgical Reports, History and Physical Reports, Discharge Summaries, Consultation Reports, Radiology and Pathology Reports.

Module 5: Quality Assurance and Editing: Proofreading and Error Detection, Ensuring Accuracy and Completeness, Handling Ambiguous Audio, Consistency in Medical Terminology, Compliance with HIPAA and Confidentiality, Feedback and Continuous Improvement.

Module 6: Career Development and Professional Skills: Job Search and Resume Writing, Professional Communication, Managing Workload and Deadlines, Continuing Education and Certification, Networking in Healthcare Industry, Adapting to Technology Changes.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
