Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Restorative Yoga Trainer course is to prepare participants to skillfully teach restorative yoga, a gentle and therapeutic form of yoga designed to promote deep relaxation and nervous system healing. The course covers the core principles of restorative yoga, including the use of props, the science of relaxation, breathwork, and the role of the parasympathetic nervous system. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Restorative Yoga: Overview of Restorative Yoga, History and Origins of Restorative Yoga, The Principles and Philosophy behind Restorative Yoga, Benefits of Restorative Yoga, Restorative Yoga vs. Other Yoga Practices, Role of the Teacher in Restorative Yoga.

Module 2: Anatomy and Physiology in Restorative Yoga: Basic Anatomy for Yoga Teachers, The Nervous System and Its Role in Restorative Yoga, Understanding Muscle Relaxation and Tension Release, The Respiratory System and Breathing Techniques, The Role of Fascia and Connective Tissue in Restorative Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Stress Reduction

Module 3: Postures and Alignment in Restorative Yoga: Foundational Rest.orative Poses (Supported Child’s Pose, Supta Baddha Konasana, etc.), Proper Alignment and Use of Props, Modifications for Different Body Types, The Role of Gravity in Restorative Poses, Adapting Postures for Injuries or Limitations, Creating a Safe Practice for All Levels.

Module 4: Sequencing and Class Design: Building a Restorative Yoga Sequence, How to Structure a Class (Introduction, Practice, Conclusion), Timing and Holding Poses for Maximum Benefit, Integrating Pranayama and Meditation into Sequencing, Designing Classes for Specific Needs (Stress, Anxiety, Insomnia), Creating Themes and Intention-Based Classes.

Module 5: Breathwork and Meditation Techniques: The Importance of Breath Awareness in Restorative Yoga, Pranayama Techniques for Deep Relaxation, Guided Meditation and Mindfulness Practices, The Role of Sound (Mantras, Chimes, Bells) in Enhancing Meditation, Using Visualization for Healing and Relaxation, How to Guide Deep Restorative Meditation.

Module 6: Teaching Methodology and Ethics: Communication Skills for Teaching Restorative Yoga, Observing and Adjusting Students’ Postures, The Importance of Creating a Safe and Calm Environment, Ethics of Teaching Restorative Yoga (Boundaries, Compassion, Non-judgment), How to Build Trust with Students, Continuing Education and Self-Reflection as a Teacher.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
