Objective: The Certified Speed and Agility Training Specialist course is designed to equip fitness professionals, coaches, and athletes with the knowledge and skills to develop speed, agility, and quickness effectively and safely. The program covers biomechanics of movement, neuromuscular training, plyometrics, sprint mechanics, agility drills, program design, injury prevention, and performance assessment.Β 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Speed and Agility Training:Definition and components of speed, agility, and quickness (SAQ), Biomechanics of linear and multidirectional speed, Role of neuromuscular coordination and reaction time, Principles of athletic movement efficiency, Energy systems involved in speed and agility development, Benefits of SAQ training for sport performance and injury prevention.

Module 2: Assessment and Testing Protocols: Functional movement screening for speed and agility readiness, Speed testing methods: 10m, 20m, and 40-yard dash protocols, Agility testing methods: T-test, pro agility, and 5-10-5 drill, Power and reaction time assessments (vertical jump, medicine ball throws), Interpreting test results to guide program design, Monitoring progress and retesting schedules.

Module 3: Linear Speed Development: Mechanics of sprinting: acceleration, top speed, and deceleration phases, Drills for proper sprint posture, arm action, and leg drive, Sprint technique correction and cueing strategies, Resistance and overspeed sprint training methods, Plyometrics and explosive power development for speed, Integrating sprints into sport-specific training.

Module 4: Agility, Change of Direction, and Footwork: Difference between agility and change of direction (COD), Developing cutting, pivoting, and deceleration mechanics, Ladder drills, cone drills, and reactive agility exercises, Progression from pre-planned to reactive drills, Movement pattern re-education and dynamic balance, Integrating visual and auditory cues for sports readiness.

Module 5: Program Design and Periodization: Warm-up and mobility protocols for SAQ sessions, Structuring SAQ workouts for beginners to elite athletes, Weekly and seasonal periodization models for in-season and off-season, Integrating SAQ with strength, endurance, and skill work, Recovery strategies and avoiding overtraining, Adapting programs for different age groups and sports.

Module 6: Coaching Skills, Safety, and Professional Practice: Effective cueing and feedback techniques for motor learning, Managing groups, stations, and training intensity, Safety considerations and injury prevention strategies, Ethics and responsibilities of a speed and agility coach, Building a career in SAQ training: marketing and client acquisition, Certification renewal and continuing education options.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
