Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Tiler & Flooring Installer course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to install, maintain, and repair various types of flooring and tiling systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Participants will learn surface preparation, tile and flooring material selection, layout planning, cutting and fitting techniques, adhesive and grout application, finishing, and alignment accuracy.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Tiling and Flooring: Role and responsibilities of a tiler and flooring installer, Types of tiles and flooring materials (ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, wood, laminate), Overview of flooring systems, Importance of proper installation, Safety considerations on-site, Understanding building codes and regulations

Module 2: Tools, Materials, and Equipment: Hand tools and power tools for tiling and flooring, Adhesives, grouts, and sealants, Cutting and measuring tools, Surface preparation materials, Maintenance and storage of tools, Cost and sustainability considerations of materials

Module 3: Surface Preparation and Layout: Inspecting and cleaning surfaces before installation, Leveling and priming floors, Measuring and marking layout patterns, Expansion joints and alignment considerations, Moisture testing and substrate evaluation, Safety precautions during preparation

Module 4: Tiling and Flooring Installation Techniques: Tile and flooring placement methods, Adhesive application techniques, Cutting and fitting tiles or planks, Installation of specialty patterns (herringbone, mosaic), Handling corners, edges, and transitions, Ensuring durability and alignment

Module 5: Grouting, Finishing, and Maintenance: Grouting techniques and sealant application, Cleaning and polishing installed surfaces, Repairing minor defects, Protective coatings and treatments, Routine maintenance and inspections, Safety during finishing processes

Module 6: Professional Development and Documentation: Effective communication with clients and supervisors, Documenting installation processes and materials used, Problem-solving on-site issues, Ethical practices and professional conduct, Continuing education and certification pathways, Career growth opportunities in tiling and flooring

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
