Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Waterproofing Specialist (Buildings) course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to apply effective waterproofing solutions in building construction and maintenance. Participants will learn various waterproofing materials and systems, surface preparation techniques, application methods for roofs, basements, walls, and terraces, and identification of water ingress issues.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Waterproofing: Role and responsibilities of a waterproofing specialist, Importance of waterproofing in buildings, Types of water-related building damages, Overview of waterproofing methods and materials, Building codes and regulatory requirements, Safety considerations in waterproofing work

Module 2: Waterproofing Materials and Tools: Types of waterproofing materials (membranes, coatings, sealants, admixtures), Criteria for selecting materials based on application, Tools and equipment for surface preparation and application, Handling and storage of materials, Cost and sustainability considerations, Maintenance of tools and materials

Module 3: Surface Preparation and Inspection: Cleaning and preparing surfaces for waterproofing, Identifying cracks, leaks, and structural defects, Moisture testing and assessment, Priming and substrate treatment, Safety measures during surface preparation, Documentation of inspection results

Module 4: Application Techniques: Step-by-step procedures for applying liquid and sheet membranes, Bituminous and polymer-based coatings, Injection techniques for cracks and joints, Detailing for corners, joints, and penetrations, Ensuring adhesion and uniform coverage, Quality control during application

Module 5: Testing, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance: Inspection of completed waterproofing systems, Water leak testing methods, Performance evaluation and troubleshooting, Routine maintenance techniques, Risk assessment and hazard mitigation, Compliance with standards and specifications

Module 6: Professional Development and Documentation: Communicating with project teams and supervisors, Documenting waterproofing procedures and results, Problem-solving and on-site decision making, Ethical and professional conduct, Continuing education and certification pathways, Career growth opportunities in waterproofing

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
