Objective: The Professional Diploma in Civil Construction Documentation aims to develop professionals with knowledge of construction drawings, technical documentation, project records, specifications, and documentation management practices. The course focuses on preparing, organizing, and maintaining civil construction documents, understanding drawings and specifications, managing project reports, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting effective communication and coordination among construction stakeholders.

Duration: 6 Months / 370 Hours

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your Course you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay course fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the Digital(PDF) copy of your Diploma & Marksheet will be sent to your registered email ID within 7 days.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Civil Construction Documentation: Introduction to Civil Construction Documentation, Importance and Purpose of Construction Documents, Types of Construction Documents, Role of Documentation in Construction Projects, Construction Drawing Standards, Documentation Workflow and Procedures, Project Record Management, Basic Construction Terminology, Professional Documentation Practices, Overview of Civil Engineering Documentation Systems.

Module 2: Construction Drawings and Technical Documentation: Introduction to Engineering Drawings, Architectural Drawing Interpretation, Structural Drawing Documentation, Site Plan and Layout Drawings, Reinforcement Drawing Preparation Awareness, MEP Drawing Coordination, Detail Drawing Development, Drawing Scales and Symbols, Technical Specifications Understanding, Drawing Review and Approval Procedures.

Module 3: Quantity, Estimation and Project Records Documentation: Quantity Take-Off Documentation, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Preparation Awareness, Material Calculation Records, Cost Estimation Documents, Rate Analysis Documentation, Resource Tracking Records, Work Progress Documentation, Measurement Sheets Preparation, Construction Expense Records, Project Cost Documentation Management.

Module 4: Construction Contracts and Administrative Documentation: Introduction to Construction Contracts, Contract Documents and Agreements, Tender Documentation Process, Work Orders and Purchase Records, Payment Certification Documents, Variation and Change Order Documentation, Site Instruction Records, Claims and Dispute Documentation, Compliance and Approval Records, Contract Administration Procedures.

Module 5: Site Documentation and Quality Records: Site Diary and Daily Reports, Work Progress Reports, Material Inspection Records, Quality Control Documentation, Test Reports and Certificates, Safety Documentation and Records, Labour and Equipment Records, Site Meeting Minutes, Inspection and Approval Reports, Project Communication Records.

Module 6: Advanced Construction Documentation Practices: Digital Documentation Management, Computer-Aided Documentation Tools, Building Information Modeling (BIM) Documentation Awareness, Document Control Systems, Drawing Revision Management, Project Handover Documentation, As-Built Drawing Preparation, Sustainable Construction Records, Professional Reporting Techniques, Career Skills in Civil Construction Documentation.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 120 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 60.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 10.
