Objective: The Professional Diploma in Cost Accounting aims to enhance learners’ understanding of cost accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, cost control, and performance evaluation. The course focuses on developing practical skills in cost estimation, pricing, inventory valuation, and financial decision-making to improve organizational efficiency and profitability.

Duration: 6 Months / 370 Hours

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your Course you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get Enroll Now tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay Course fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay course fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the Digital(PDF) copy of your Diploma & Marksheet will be sent to your registered email ID within 7 days.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Cost Accounting: Introduction to Cost Accounting, Objectives and Scope of Cost Accounting, Cost Accounting Principles and Concepts, Classification of Costs, Elements of Cost, Cost Centre and Cost Unit, Cost Sheet Preparation, Methods of Cost Collection, Relationship Between Financial and Cost Accounting, Professional Ethics in Cost Accounting.

Module 2: Material, Labour and Overhead Costing: Material Cost Control Techniques, Inventory Management and Stock Valuation, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Labour Costing and Wage Payment Systems, Labour Turnover and Productivity Analysis, Direct and Indirect Labour Costs, Overhead Classification and Allocation, Overhead Apportionment and Absorption, Machine Hour Rate Calculation, Cost Control and Cost Reduction Techniques.

Module 3: Costing Methods and Techniques: Job Costing, Batch Costing, Contract Costing, Process Costing, Operating and Service Costing, Joint Product and By-Product Costing, Activity-Based Costing (ABC), Marginal Costing, Standard Costing, Uniform and Integrated Costing Systems.

Module 4: Cost Analysis and Budgetary Control: Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis, Break-Even Analysis, Contribution Margin Analysis, Budget Preparation and Budgetary Control, Flexible Budgeting Techniques, Standard Costing and Variance Analysis, Responsibility Accounting, Performance Measurement Systems, Cost Reporting and MIS, Decision-Making Using Cost Information.

Module 5: Cost Management and Strategic Decision Making: Strategic Cost Management, Target Costing Techniques, Life Cycle Costing, Value Chain Analysis, Lean Cost Management, Business Process Costing, Capital Investment Decisions, Pricing Decisions and Profitability Analysis, Risk Analysis in Cost Management, Cost Accounting for Managerial Decision Making.

Module 6: Advanced Cost Accounting Applications: Cost Accounting Software and Digital Tools, ERP Systems in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Analysis, Service Industry Cost Accounting, Cost Audit and Compliance, Cost Accounting Standards, Financial and Cost Report Preparation, Industry-Based Cost Accounting Case Studies, Emerging Trends in Cost Accounting, Capstone Project in Cost Accounting.

  • Duration- 120 minutes.

  • Number of Questions from each module: 10.
