Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The objective of the Certified Materials Manager (Construction) course is to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills to oversee all aspects of construction materials management. The course covers material sourcing, inspection, quality assurance, inventory control, supplier coordination, and logistics management. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Materials Management: Role and responsibilities of a materials manager, Overview of construction materials lifecycle, Types of construction materials and their properties, Importance of materials management in projects, Supply chain fundamentals for construction, Key performance indicators in materials management.

Module 2: Material Procurement and Vendor Management: Procurement strategies and planning, Vendor selection and qualification, Tendering and bidding processes, Negotiation and contract management, Vendor relationship management, Quality assurance in procurement.

Module 3: Inventory and Warehouse Management: Inventory control methods (FIFO, LIFO, JIT), Warehouse layout and optimization, Material receiving and inspection procedures, Stock issuance and documentation, Inventory tracking systems and technology, Cycle counting and stocktaking processes.

Module 4: Material Handling and Storage: Safe handling practices for construction materials, Storage requirements for different material types, Equipment and tools for material handling, Hazardous material management, Loss prevention and damage control, Compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Module 5: Cost Control and Budgeting in Materials Management: Budgeting for material procurement, Cost estimation and cost control techniques, Price negotiation strategies, Monitoring material costs vs budget, Reporting and financial documentation, Managing supplier payments and credit terms.

Module 6: Technology and Sustainability in Materials Management: Use of software tools for materials management (ERP, BIM integration), Data analytics and reporting, Sustainable materials sourcing and green building practices, Waste reduction and recycling strategies, Environmental regulations and compliance, Continuous improvement and best practices.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
