Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Rail Logistics Specialist course is designed to develop professionals with expertise in planning, coordinating, and optimizing the movement of goods via rail transport. The course covers key topics such as rail network infrastructure, freight wagon types, cargo compatibility, rail scheduling and routing, intermodal logistics, documentation and regulatory compliance, tariff and contract negotiation, and integration with other modes of transport.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Fundamentals of Rail Logistics: Introduction to Rail Transportation Systems, Role of Rail in Multimodal Logistics, Advantages and Limitations of Rail Freight, Key Players in Rail Logistics Ecosystem, Rail Freight Types and Cargo Suitability, Responsibilities of a Rail Logistics Specialist.
Module 2: Rail Infrastructure and Equipment: Rail Network and Terminal Layouts, Types of Railcars and Their Applications, Locomotive Types and Operations, Yard Management and Intermodal Facilities, Maintenance of Rail Infrastructure and Rolling Stock, Safety Standards for Rail Equipment.
Module 3: Freight Operations and Planning: Scheduling and Train Consist Planning, Wagon Allocation and Load Optimization, Route Planning and Transit Time Estimation, Coordination with Terminals and Warehouses, Bulk Cargo vs Containerized Freight Operations, Documentation and Consignment Tracking.
Module 4: Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Rail Transport Laws and Regulatory Bodies, Safety Protocols and Emergency Procedures, Compliance with Dangerous Goods Transport (RID/IMDG), Permits and Licensing Requirements, Accident Investigation and Reporting, Legal Liabilities in Rail Logistics.
Module 5: Technology and Digital Integration: Rail Freight Management Systems (RFMS), GPS and Telematics for Train Tracking, IoT and AI in Rail Logistics Optimization, Integration with TMS and WMS Platforms, Data Analytics for Performance Monitoring, Digital Freight Corridors and E-waybill Systems.
Module 6: Commercial Management and Customer Service: Rail Freight Pricing Models and Costing, Contract Management and Service Agreements, Customer Communication and Order Fulfillment, KPI Monitoring and Service Level Improvement, Dispute Resolution and Claims Handling, Trends in Rail Freight and Future Opportunities.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
