Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Building Information Modelling (BIM) course is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to implement, manage, and optimize Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across construction projects. Participants will learn BIM software tools, collaborative workflows, 3D/4D/5D modeling, clash detection, quantity take-offs, scheduling, cost estimation, and integration with project management systems.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to BIM in Construction: Role and responsibilities of a BIM manager, Overview of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts, BIM standards and protocols, Types of BIM (2D, 3D, 4D, 5D), Benefits of BIM in construction projects, Trends and innovations in BIM technology

Module 2: BIM Software and Tools: Overview of popular BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD), Software selection criteria for different projects, Tools for clash detection and coordination, Modeling standards and best practices, Integration with other project management software, Updates and version control management

Module 3: BIM Implementation and Workflow: BIM execution planning (BEP), Project setup and template creation, Collaboration and coordination among multidisciplinary teams, Data management and model organization, Workflow optimization and automation, Quality assurance and model validation

Module 4: 4D, 5D, and Advanced BIM Applications: Scheduling and construction sequencing (4D BIM), Cost estimation and budget integration (5D BIM), Quantity take-offs and material tracking, Facility management and lifecycle BIM integration, Clash detection and problem-solving, Simulation and visualization for project decision-making

Module 5: BIM Coordination, Collaboration, and Compliance: Interdisciplinary model coordination, Clash detection and resolution, Collaboration protocols and communication standards, Compliance with industry standards and legal requirements, Model auditing and quality control, Documentation and reporting

Module 6: Leadership, Communication, and Professional Development: Managing BIM teams and workflows, Communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, Problem-solving and conflict resolution in BIM projects, Ethical practices and professional responsibility, Continuing education and certification pathways, Career growth and specialization opportunities

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
