Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Construction and Structural Drafting course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to create accurate technical drawings for construction and structural projects. Participants will learn to interpret architectural and structural plans, produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, apply drafting standards, and use modern CAD and drafting software.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Drafting in Construction: Role and responsibilities of a construction draftsman, Importance of drafting in construction and structural projects, Overview of construction drawings and standards, Types of drawings (architectural, structural, MEP), Key stakeholders and coordination, Trends and innovations in drafting technology

Module 2: Drafting Tools and Software: Manual drafting tools and techniques, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software overview (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation), 2D drafting and 3D modeling basics, Software interoperability and data management, Drafting standards and templates, Hands-on exercises in drafting software

Module 3: Architectural Drafting: Understanding building layouts and plans, Elevations, sections, and detailing, Floor plans, site plans, and interior layouts, Dimensioning and annotation techniques, Drafting for different building types, Quality checks and standards compliance

Module 4: Structural Drafting: Structural elements and symbols, Drafting foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and reinforcement details, Steel and concrete detailing, Coordination with structural engineers, Creating detailed structural drawings, Documentation and version control

Module 5: Drafting for Construction Coordination: Integrating architectural and structural drawings, Clash detection and design coordination, Revisions and updates management, Preparing drawings for construction teams, Communication with contractors and engineers, Handover and final drawing compilation

Module 6: Professional Development and Communication: Effective communication with project teams and stakeholders, Problem-solving and decision-making in drafting tasks, Ethical practices and professional responsibility, Documentation and record keeping, Continuing education and skill enhancement, Career growth and certification pathways

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
