Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Construction Framing Technology course is to equip participants with the technical skills and practical knowledge needed to construct the structural framework of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The course covers blueprint reading, layout planning, material selection, measuring and cutting, assembling walls, floors, and roof systems, as well as the use of hand and power tools.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Framing: Overview of structural framing in construction, Roles and responsibilities of a framing specialist, Types of framing systems (platform, balloon, post-and-beam), Understanding blueprints and framing plans, Building codes and structural standards, Safety practices in framing work.

Module 2: Tools, Materials, and Equipment: Hand and power tools used in framing, Lumber types, grades, and sizes, Fasteners and connectors (nails, screws, metal plates), Use of levels, squares, and measuring tools, Material handling and storage practices, Tool maintenance and calibration.

Module 3: Floor Framing: Layout of floor systems, Installation of sills, beams, and joists, Subfloor materials and installation, Bridging and blocking techniques, Openings for stairs and mechanicals, Inspection and leveling of floor framing.

Module 4: Wall Framing: Wall layout and plate marking, Stud spacing and assembly, Installing headers, window and door openings, Bracing and shear wall requirements, Plumbing and squaring walls, Erecting and securing framed walls.

Module 5: Roof Framing: Understanding roof types and pitch, Rafter layout and cutting, Ridge, hip, valley, and jack rafters, Truss installation and spacing, Roof sheathing and decking, Safety procedures for working at height.

Module 6: Framing Quality and Safety Standards: Inspection for code compliance and accuracy, Identifying and correcting framing errors, Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), Fall protection and ladder safety, Communication and coordination on job sites, Environmental and site cleanliness practices.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
