Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Construction Logistics and Materials Management course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to oversee and optimize logistics operations within construction projects. The course covers supply chain management, material procurement, inventory control, transportation planning, site layout, and just-in-time delivery techniques.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Logistics Management: Overview of construction logistics and supply chain, Role and responsibilities of a logistics manager, Construction project lifecycle and logistics impact, Types of construction materials and equipment, Importance of logistics planning, Key performance indicators in logistics.

Module 2: Planning and Scheduling of Logistics Activities: Logistics planning and forecasting, Material procurement strategies, Scheduling deliveries and site coordination, Just-in-time (JIT) delivery concepts, Managing storage and handling on site, Integration with project schedules.

Module 3: Transportation and Equipment Management: Selecting transportation modes and routes, Fleet management and optimization, Loading, unloading, and handling procedures, Equipment utilization and maintenance, Compliance with transportation regulations, Managing subcontractors and suppliers.

Module 4: Inventory and Warehouse Management: Inventory control techniques, Warehouse layout and organization, Material tracking and documentation, Stocktaking and cycle counting, Safety and security in storage areas, Use of technology in inventory management (RFID, barcode).

Module 5: Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identifying logistics risks and challenges, Contingency planning and mitigation strategies, Handling delays and disruptions, Communication and coordination during emergencies, Problem-solving techniques, Continuous improvement in logistics processes.

Module 6: Technology and Sustainability in Construction Logistics: Use of construction logistics software and tools, Data analytics for logistics optimization, Sustainable logistics practices, Green transportation and waste reduction, Implementing lean logistics, Reporting and performance measurement.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
