Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Construction Project Planning course is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to plan, schedule, and manage construction projects efficiently. Participants will learn techniques in project scheduling, resource allocation, critical path method (CPM), Gantt charts, risk management, progress monitoring, and integration with project management software.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Planning and Scheduling: Role and responsibilities of a construction planning and scheduling manager, Overview of construction project lifecycle, Importance of planning and scheduling, Key stakeholders and coordination, Trends and innovations in planning tools, Regulatory and contractual considerations

Module 2: Project Planning Fundamentals: Defining project scope and objectives, Work breakdown structure (WBS) development, Resource allocation and leveling, Identifying critical activities and milestones, Budgeting and cost estimation, Risk assessment and contingency planning

Module 3: Scheduling Techniques and Tools: Overview of scheduling methodologies (Gantt charts, CPM, PERT), Use of project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, etc.), Creating and updating project schedules, Tracking progress and performance metrics, Schedule optimization techniques, Integration with cost and resource management

Module 4: Construction Project Monitoring and Control: Monitoring project progress and timelines, Key performance indicators (KPIs) for scheduling, Identifying and managing schedule deviations, Change management and schedule adjustments, Reporting and documentation, Stakeholder communication and coordination

Module 5: Resource and Productivity Management: Planning and managing labor, equipment, and materials, Resource allocation and optimization, Productivity analysis and improvement, Conflict resolution in resource scheduling, Integration with site operations, Forecasting and predictive planning

Module 6: Leadership, Communication, and Professional Development: Leading planning and scheduling teams, Effective communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, Problem-solving and decision-making in scheduling, Ethical practices and professional responsibility, Continuing education and skill enhancement, Career growth and certification pathways

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
