Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Construction Site Safety course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs on construction sites. The course covers hazard identification, risk assessment, safety regulations, emergency preparedness, incident investigation, and safety training.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Construction Site Safety: Overview of site safety management, Roles and responsibilities of a site safety manager, Construction safety regulations and standards, Understanding OSHA and local safety laws, Safety culture and behavior-based safety, Importance of safety planning and leadership.

Module 2: Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Types of construction hazards, Hazard recognition techniques, Conducting risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Implementing control measures (elimination, substitution, PPE), Monitoring and reviewing hazards.

Module 3: Safety Program Development and Implementation: Developing site-specific safety plans, Emergency response planning, Safety training and toolbox talks, Incident reporting and investigation, Safety inspections and audits, Safety communication and documentation.

Module 4: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Equipment Safety; Types and selection of PPE, Proper use and maintenance of PPE, Machinery and equipment safety protocols, Lockout/tagout procedures, Working at heights and fall protection, Vehicle and mobile equipment safety.

Module 5: Environmental and Health Safety Management: Managing hazardous materials and waste, Environmental protection on site, Noise and vibration control, Health hazards (dust, chemicals, ergonomics), Occupational health programs, First aid and medical response procedures.

Module 6: Safety Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Safety metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), Conducting safety audits and inspections, Incident investigation and root cause analysis, Corrective and preventive actions, Promoting continuous safety improvement, Leadership and team engagement in safety.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
