Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Construction Waste Management and Recycling course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to manage, reduce, and recycle construction and demolition waste efficiently. Participants will learn waste segregation, handling, storage, transportation, recycling technologies, and regulatory compliance related to construction waste management.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Waste Management: Role and responsibilities of a construction waste and recycling technician, Overview of construction waste types, Importance of waste management in construction projects, Key stakeholders and coordination, Trends and innovations in waste management, Regulatory and legal framework

Module 2: Waste Identification and Classification: Categorizing construction waste (hazardous, non-hazardous, recyclable), Material flow analysis on construction sites, Identifying recyclable and reusable materials, Understanding waste generation sources, Documentation of waste streams, Impact of improper waste disposal

Module 3: Waste Reduction Techniques: Strategies for minimizing construction waste, Lean construction principles, Efficient material usage and inventory control, Design for deconstruction and reuse, Implementing prefabrication techniques, Monitoring and measuring waste reduction effectiveness

Module 4: Recycling and Reuse Practices: Methods for recycling construction materials (concrete, metals, wood, plastics), On-site vs off-site recycling options, Processing and handling of recyclable materials, Reuse of materials in new construction, Coordination with recycling vendors, Reporting and documentation of recycling activities

Module 5: Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Health and safety protocols for handling construction waste, Environmental impacts of waste, Compliance with local and international regulations, Risk assessment and mitigation for hazardous waste, Emergency procedures for spills and accidents, Continuous improvement in waste management practices

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
