Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Environmental and Sustainable Construction course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to implement and monitor environmentally sustainable practices in construction projects. Participants will learn environmental regulations, waste management, pollution control, energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable materials usage, and green building standards.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Environmental and Sustainability Practices in Construction: Role and responsibilities of an environmental and sustainability technician, Overview of sustainability in construction projects, Importance of environmental management, Key stakeholders and coordination, Trends and innovations in sustainable construction, Regulatory and legal framework

Module 2: Environmental Regulations and Compliance: Understanding local and international environmental laws, Permits and approvals for construction projects, Environmental impact assessments (EIA), Compliance monitoring and reporting, Waste management regulations, Auditing and inspections for regulatory adherence

Module 3: Sustainable Construction Materials and Techniques: Selection of eco-friendly materials, Energy-efficient building technologies, Water conservation and management techniques, Waste reduction and recycling methods, Green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, etc.), Lifecycle assessment of construction materials

Module 4: Environmental Risk Assessment and Management: Identifying environmental hazards on-site, Risk assessment methodologies, Developing mitigation strategies, Monitoring and controlling environmental impacts, Emergency response planning, Documentation and reporting of environmental risks

Module 5: Site Sustainability Management: Implementing green site practices, Energy and water management on construction sites, Pollution control measures (air, noise, soil, water), Resource optimization and conservation, Coordination with contractors for sustainable practices, Continuous monitoring and improvement of sustainability performance

• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
