Duration: Three Months.
Objective: The Certificate in Financial Literacy & Education course aims to equip educators with comprehensive knowledge and practical teaching strategies to deliver effective financial literacy education. The course covers essential financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, investing, credit management, debt reduction, insurance, taxes, and financial planning tailored for diverse student populations.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Foundations of Financial Literacy: Introduction to financial literacy and its importance, Basic economic concepts and terminology, Understanding personal finance, The role of money management, Financial decision-making principles, Ethical considerations in financial education.
Module 2: Budgeting and Money Management: Creating and managing personal budgets, Tracking income and expenses, Setting financial goals, Techniques for saving money, Understanding needs vs wants, Tools and apps for budgeting.
Module 3: Banking and Financial Services: Types of bank accounts and services, Understanding interest rates and fees, Using debit and credit cards responsibly, Introduction to loans and credit, Online and mobile banking basics, Consumer rights and protections.
Module 4: Credit and Debt Management: Understanding credit scores and reports, Types of credit and loans, Managing and reducing debt, Consequences of poor credit management, Strategies for responsible borrowing, Avoiding and handling financial scams.
Module 5: Investing and Wealth Building: Basics of investing and types of investments, Risk and return concepts, Introduction to stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, Retirement planning fundamentals, Understanding insurance and protection, Building long-term financial security.
Module 6: Financial Education Delivery and Advocacy: Designing engaging financial literacy lessons, Using real-life scenarios and case studies, Assessing learner understanding and progress, Engaging diverse audiences, Promoting financial literacy awareness, Continuing professional development and resources.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
