Duration: Three Months.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Spa and Wellness Therapy: Overview of spa and wellness industry, Roles and responsibilities of a spa & wellness therapist, Ethical and professional standards, Types of spa and wellness services, History and evolution of wellness practices, Importance of client-centered care

Module 2: Anatomy, Physiology, and Health Fundamentals: Basic human anatomy and physiology, Muscular and skeletal systems, Circulatory and lymphatic systems, Nervous system and stress response, Understanding client health conditions and contraindications, Body mechanics and therapist ergonomics

Module 3: Massage and Therapeutic Techniques: Swedish and deep tissue massage techniques, Aromatherapy and essential oils, Hot stone and hydrotherapy, Reflexology and acupressure, Sports massage fundamentals, Techniques for relaxation and stress relief

Module 4: Client Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conducting client intake and health assessment, Identifying client needs and goals, Developing personalized wellness treatment plans, Monitoring client progress, Documenting treatment sessions, Adjusting techniques based on client feedback

Module 5: Hygiene, Safety, and Professional Practices: Sanitation and infection control, Safe handling of oils, creams, and spa equipment, Client privacy and confidentiality, Workplace safety and ergonomics, Professional ethics and communication, Managing client comfort and satisfaction

Module 6: Business, Operations, and Technology in Spa Management: Setting up spa and wellness operations, Scheduling and managing appointments, Billing and record-keeping, Marketing and client retention strategies, Legal and insurance considerations, Using technology for client management and reporting

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
