The program focuses on understanding human anatomy, kinesiology, and the rehabilitation process, along with learning how to design safe and effective exercise programs that support recovery and improve functional movement.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Module 2: Anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology: Functional anatomy of major muscle groups, Joint structure and movement principles, Biomechanics of human motion, Muscle imbalances and compensatory patterns, Cardiovascular and respiratory physiology, Neuromuscular adaptations to rehabilitation exercise

Module 3: Assessment & Screening Techniques: Client health screening and medical history review, Posture and movement assessments, Range-of-motion and flexibility testing, Strength and endurance assessments, Identifying functional limitations and risk factors, Interpreting assessment results for program design

Module 4: Rehabilitation Program Design: Principles of corrective exercise programming, Designing individualized rehabilitation plans, Selecting appropriate exercises for specific conditions, Progression and regression strategies, Integrating flexibility, strength, and mobility training, Safety guidelines and contraindications

Module 5: Condition-Specific Rehabilitation Strategies: Rehabilitation for lower-back dysfunction, Shoulder and upper-extremity rehabilitation, Knee and hip rehabilitation, Post-surgical exercise considerations, Chronic condition management (arthritis, obesity, diabetes), Balance, stability, and fall-prevention training

Module 6: Professional Application & Career Development: Client motivation and behavior-change strategies, Working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, Business and practice management for specialists, Emergency response and risk management, Continuing education and certification maintenance, Building a successful rehabilitation clientele

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
