Objective: The Certified Internal Auditor course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and professional judgment required to evaluate and improve an organization’s risk management, control, and governance processes. It prepares learners to perform internal audits in compliance with global standards and to contribute to organizational effectiveness.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Internal Auditing: Definition and Scope of Internal Audit, Objectives and Functions of Internal Auditors, Internal vs External Audit, Code of Ethics and Professional Standards, Role of Internal Audit in Corporate Governance, Types of Internal Audits.

Module 2: Internal Control Systems and Risk Management: Components of Internal Control System, COSO Framework, Risk Identification and Assessment, Risk-Based Auditing Approach, Evaluation of Control Effectiveness, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR).

Module 3: Audit Planning and Execution: Audit Planning and Scheduling, Understanding the Entity and Environment, Materiality and Audit Risk, Audit Program and Checklist Preparation, Fieldwork and Evidence Collection, Documentation and Working Papers.

Module 4: Audit Techniques and Tools: Sampling Techniques in Auditing, Substantive and Compliance Procedures, Analytical Review Procedures, Use of Data Analytics in Internal Audit, Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs), Use of ERP and Audit Software.

Module 5: Reporting and Follow-up: Structure and Contents of Internal Audit Report, Reporting Audit Findings and Recommendations, Communicating with Management and Board, Follow-up Mechanism for Implementation, Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Monitoring and Improvement.

Module 6: Regulatory Framework and Emerging Trends: Internal Audit and Regulatory Compliance (SOX, Companies Act), Corporate Frauds and Investigation, Internal Audit in Financial Institutions, ESG Auditing and Sustainability Reporting, Cybersecurity and IT Audits, Trends in Automation and AI in Internal Auditing.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
