Objective: The Certified Medical Office Assistant course is designed to equip learners with the administrative and clinical skills necessary to efficiently support healthcare providers in medical office settings. The course covers patient scheduling, medical record management, insurance billing and coding, patient communication, appointment coordination, basic medical terminology, and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Medical Office Assistance: Medical Office Roles and Responsibilities, Healthcare Systems Overview, Medical Ethics and Professionalism, Patient Confidentiality and HIPAA, Communication Skills in Healthcare, Medical Terminology Basics.

Module 2: Medical Office Procedures: Appointment Scheduling Techniques, Patient Reception and Registration, Managing Medical Records, Telephone Etiquette and Communication, Insurance Verification and Authorizations, Handling Patient Inquiries and Complaints.

Module 3: Medical Billing and Coding: Introduction to Medical Billing, ICD-10-CM Coding, CPT Coding Basics, Insurance Claims Processing, Billing Software and Tools, Handling Billing Errors and Rejections.

Module 4: Medical Office Computer Skills: Electronic Health Records (EHR) Management, Medical Office Software Applications, Data Entry and Management, Scheduling Software, Email and Professional Correspondence, Basic Troubleshooting and IT Support.

Module 5: Clinical Procedures and Support: Vital Signs Measurement, Assisting with Patient Examinations, Preparing Examination Rooms, Basic Phlebotomy and Specimen Collection, Infection Control and Safety, Administering Medications under Supervision.

Module 6: Legal and Administrative Aspects: Healthcare Laws and Regulations, Documentation and Reporting Standards, Risk Management in Medical Office, Financial Management and Budgeting, Time Management and Organization, Career Development and Continuing Education.
