Objective: The Certified Sustainable Textile Production Specialist course is aimed at equipping learners with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to drive sustainability in the textile and apparel industry. The objective is to enable participants to understand the environmental and social impact of conventional textile production and adopt innovative, low-impact alternatives at each stage—fiber sourcing, spinning, dyeing, finishing, and garment manufacturing.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Eco-friendly Raw Materials and Fibers: Sustainable natural fibers (organic cotton, hemp, bamboo), Regenerated and recycled fibers (Tencel, Repreve), Bio-based and biodegradable textile materials, Sourcing strategies and supply chain transparency, Certification systems for sustainable fibers (GOTS, OEKO-TEX), Innovations in sustainable raw material development.

Module 3: Sustainable Textile Manufacturing Processes: Low-impact dyeing and printing techniques, Waterless and enzymatic processing methods, Energy-efficient spinning, weaving, and knitting, Waste minimization and resource optimization in production, Use of non-toxic and biodegradable chemicals, Automation and digitalization for sustainability.

Module 4: Environmental and Social Compliance Standards: Overview of global standards and regulations (ZDHC, REACH, BLUESIGN), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in textiles, Fair trade and labor rights in textile production, Audits and certifications for sustainability compliance, Sustainable procurement and ethical sourcing policies, Case studies on compliant textile units.

Module 5: Waste Management and Circular Practices: Textile waste types and segregation methods, Strategies for reduction, reuse, and recycling of textile waste, Upcycling and closed-loop systems in textiles, Industrial symbiosis in textile parks, Role of EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility), Sustainable packaging and logistics.

Module 6: Innovation, Marketing, and Career in Sustainable Textiles: Emerging technologies in sustainable textiles (3D printing, smart fabrics), Sustainable fashion branding and consumer awareness, Green marketing and storytelling strategies, Tools for measuring sustainability performance, Entrepreneurship in sustainable textiles, Career opportunities and global scope in the sustainability sector.
