Objective: The Professional Diploma in First Aid Awareness is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge of first aid procedures, emergency response techniques, and safety practices. Module 1: Introduction to First Aid: Basics of first aid, Importance and objectives of first aid, Role and responsibilities of a first aider, Principles of emergency care, First aid safety guidelines, Assessing emergency situations, Basic life support concepts, Emergency response procedures, First aid equipment and supplies, Career and community applications of first aid skills.

Module 2: Basic Life Support and Emergency Response: Introduction to Basic Life Support (BLS), Assessing unconscious persons, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) awareness, Airway management techniques, Breathing and circulation assessment, Recovery position procedures, Handling choking situations, Emergency communication methods, Calling emergency medical services, Maintaining safety during emergencies.

Module 3: Management of Common Injuries and Emergencies: First aid for cuts and wounds, Bleeding control techniques, Burn and scald management, Fracture and sprain care, Head and spinal injury awareness, Shock management, Fainting and dizziness response, Poisoning and allergic reaction awareness, Animal and insect bite management, Handling common workplace injuries.

Module 4: Health Emergencies and Medical Support: Recognizing signs of heart attack, Stroke awareness and response, Seizure management, Breathing difficulty and asthma support, Diabetic emergency awareness, Heat-related illnesses, Cold-related injuries, Fever and infection-related emergencies, Basic patient monitoring, Providing immediate medical support.

Module 5: First Aid Safety and Workplace Practices: Workplace first aid principles, Safety risk identification, Emergency preparedness planning, First aid kit management, Infection prevention during first aid, Personal protective equipment (PPE) awareness, Safe handling of injured persons, Documentation of first aid incidents, Workplace emergency procedures, Promoting health and safety awareness.

Module 6: Professional Skills and First Aid Management: Communication skills during emergencies, Team coordination in emergency situations, Decision-making skills in first aid, Stress management during critical events, Patient care and emotional support, Ethical responsibilities of first aid providers, Community health awareness, First aid training and awareness programs, Professional development in safety practices, Future trends in emergency care and first aid.
