Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Construction Law and Compliance course is to equip participants with a thorough understanding of the legal framework governing construction projects. Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Law: Overview of construction law and its importance, Legal framework and sources of construction law, Types of construction contracts, Roles and responsibilities of parties, Key legal concepts (offer, acceptance, consideration), Understanding construction industry regulations.

Module 2: Construction Contracts and Agreements: Types of construction contracts (lump sum, cost-plus, design-build), Contract formation and essential elements, Terms and conditions in construction contracts, Contract interpretation principles, Contract administration and performance, Modification and termination of contracts.

Module 3: Construction Claims and Dispute Resolution: Common types of construction claims, Procedures for claim submission and evaluation, Alternative dispute resolution methods (mediation, arbitration), Litigation process in construction disputes, Role of expert witnesses, Drafting dispute resolution clauses in contracts.

Module 4: Legal Aspects of Project Management: Risk allocation through contracts, Construction liens and bonding, Compliance with health and safety laws, Environmental regulations affecting construction, Intellectual property issues in construction, Employment and labor law considerations.

Module 5: Liability and Insurance in Construction: Types of liabilities in construction projects, Professional liability and negligence, Insurance policies relevant to construction, Risk management through insurance, Indemnity and hold harmless clauses, Managing claims and litigation involving insurance.

Module 6: Recent Developments and Case Studies in Construction Law: Review of landmark construction law cases, Updates in construction legislation and regulations, International construction law principles, Ethical issues and professional responsibility, Impact of technology and BIM on construction law, Best practices in legal risk management.
