Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Cost Accounting: Introduction to cost accounting, Objectives and benefits of cost accounting, Cost concepts and classifications, Cost accounting principles and standards, Role of cost accounting in decision-making, Case studies of cost management

Module 2: Cost Recording and Control: Recording of costs, Material cost control and inventory management, Labor cost control and payroll accounting, Overhead allocation and absorption, Standard costing and variance analysis, Cost reconciliation and reporting

Module 3: Costing Methods and Techniques: Job costing and batch costing, Process costing and operation costing, Activity-based costing (ABC), Marginal costing and contribution analysis, Target costing and life-cycle costing, Cost allocation and apportionment techniques

Module 4: Budgeting and Financial Planning: Budget preparation and planning, Types of budgets (flexible, master, zero-based), Budgetary control and variance analysis, Forecasting techniques, Capital budgeting and investment appraisal, Financial decision-making using cost data

Module 5: Cost Analysis and Performance Measurement: Cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis, Break-even analysis, Product and service profitability analysis, Performance measurement using cost metrics, Benchmarking and cost optimization, Management reporting and decision support

Module 6: Strategic Cost Management and Ethics: Strategic cost management principles, Value chain analysis and cost reduction strategies, Lean accounting and process improvement, Ethical considerations in cost accounting, Compliance with accounting standards and regulations, Continuous improvement and professional development

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
