The program focuses on understanding the principles of human nutrition, meal planning, therapeutic diets, dietary assessment techniques, and the relationship between food, health, and disease.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Nutrition: Introduction to nutrition science, Macronutrients and their functions, Micronutrients and their roles, Energy balance & metabolism basics, Dietary reference intakes (DRIs), Principles of balanced diet

Module 2: Human Anatomy & Physiology for Nutrition: Digestive system structure & function, Nutrient absorption and transport, Endocrine system in nutrition, Metabolism pathways overview, Hydration & electrolyte balance, Body composition fundamentals

Module 3: Clinical Nutrition & Diet Planning: Diet assessment methods, Therapeutic diets for common diseases, Nutrition in weight management, Nutrition for metabolic disorders, Meal planning principles, Menu modification techniques

Module 4: Food Science & Safety: Food groups & composition, Food processing basics, Food preservation methods, Food contamination & hazards, Hygiene & sanitation practices, Food labeling & regulation basics

Module 5: Community Nutrition & Public Health: Nutrition across life stages, Maternal & child nutrition, School & workplace nutrition programs, National nutrition policies & guidelines, Malnutrition identification & prevention, Community nutrition education

Module 6: Professional Skills for Dietician Assistants: Client communication skills, Counseling techniques, Record keeping & documentation, Ethics in nutrition practice, Use of nutrition software/tools, Workplace roles & responsibilities

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
