Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Home Healthcare Support course is designed to prepare learners to provide safe, compassionate, and effective care to clients in their homes. The program focuses on developing skills in personal patient care, hygiene assistance, mobility support, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and medication reminders.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Home Healthcare: Role and responsibilities of a home healthcare aide, Understanding healthcare settings, Client rights and confidentiality, Professional ethics and boundaries, Cultural sensitivity in caregiving, Basic medical terminology

Module 2: Human Anatomy & Physiology Basics: Overview of body systems, Normal vital signs and functions, Common age-related changes, Recognizing abnormal symptoms, Basic understanding of chronic illnesses, Body mechanics and mobility principles

Module 3: Personal Care Skills: Bathing and grooming assistance, Dressing and toileting support, Safe transferring and ambulation techniques, Bed-making and positioning, Skin care and pressure sore prevention, Feeding assistance and nutrition basics

Module 4: Home Safety & Infection Control: Infection prevention procedures, Hand hygiene and PPE usage, Hazard identification in the home, Emergency preparedness and response, Safe use of assistive devices, Fall prevention strategies

Module 5: Basic Healthcare Procedures: Measuring vital signs, Assisting with medication reminders, Monitoring intake and output, Recognizing emergencies and reporting, Support for medical devices (oxygen, walkers, etc.), Documentation and record-keeping

Module 6: Communication & Client Support: Effective communication techniques, Working with elderly or disabled clients, Providing emotional and social support, Handling difficult behaviors, Family interaction and coordination, End-of-life comfort care basics

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
