Objective: The Certified Advanced Textile Materials Professional course is designed to provide in-depth understanding and hands-on skills in the rapidly evolving field of advanced textile materials. The primary objective is to enable participants to explore and apply innovative textile technologies, materials, and processes used in high-performance and non-traditional textile applications.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Advanced Textile Materials: Definition and scope of advanced textiles, Classification of technical and functional textiles, Importance in various industries (medical, automotive, defense), Smart textiles and their evolution, Overview of research trends in advanced materials, Role of nanotechnology and biotechnology in textiles.

Module 2: High-Performance Fibers and Yarns: Properties and applications of aramid, carbon, and glass fibers, Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers, Conductive and piezoelectric fibers, High-performance yarn structures and production methods, Thermal and mechanical behavior of specialty fibers, Blending techniques for performance enhancement.

Module 3: Functional Finishes and Coatings: Types of functional finishes (antimicrobial, UV-resistant, flame-retardant), Nano-finishing technologies, Microencapsulation and phase change materials (PCM), Durable water repellent (DWR) and breathable coatings, Application methods and machinery, Testing and performance evaluation of finishes.

Module 4: Smart and Interactive Textiles: Concept of smart textiles and wearable electronics, Integration of sensors and actuators in textiles, E-textiles for health monitoring and sports, Energy harvesting and storage textiles, Data transmission and communication through fabrics, Challenges and future directions in smart textile development.

Module 5: Applications of Advanced Textiles: Medical and healthcare textiles (implants, bandages, wound dressings), Protective textiles (military, firefighting, industrial safety), Automotive and aerospace textiles, Geotextiles and construction applications, Agrotextiles and filtration textiles, Sustainability and environmental concerns in advanced textile use.

Module 6: Research, Testing, and Industry Trends: Advanced textile testing standards and methods, Role of R&D and innovation hubs, Intellectual property and patents in textile technology, Collaboration between academia and industry, Commercialization challenges of advanced textiles, Future scope and global trends in advanced textile materials.

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
