Objective: The Certified Energy Efficiency Consultant course is designed to develop professionals’ expertise in analyzing energy use in buildings, industrial processes, and systems to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings. The course covers energy auditing techniques, benchmarking, energy modeling, retrofitting strategies, renewable integration, and compliance with energy codes and standards.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Energy Efficiency: Concepts of energy efficiency and conservation, Energy units and measurement, Energy flow and energy balance in buildings, Types of energy losses, Importance of energy audits, Overview of energy policies and standards.

Module 2: Energy Auditing and Analysis: Types of energy audits (walk-through, detailed, investment-grade), Data collection methods and tools, Energy consumption analysis, Benchmarking and energy performance indicators, Identifying energy-saving opportunities, Reporting and documentation of audit findings.

Module 3: Building Systems and Energy Efficiency: Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems efficiency, Lighting systems and controls, Building envelope and insulation techniques, Electrical systems and motors, Renewable energy integration, Water heating and pumping systems.

Module 4: Energy Efficiency Technologies and Solutions: Energy-efficient equipment and appliances, Variable frequency drives (VFDs), Advanced control systems and automation, Building management systems (BMS), Energy storage solutions, Emerging technologies in energy efficiency.

Module 5: Codes, Standards, and Financial Analysis: National and international energy codes and standards, Energy efficiency regulations and compliance, Incentives, subsidies, and financing options, Cost-benefit and life cycle analysis, Project evaluation and risk assessment, Measurement and verification (M&V) protocols.

Module 6: Professional Practice and Sustainability: Sustainable building design principles, Client communication and stakeholder engagement, Preparing energy efficiency proposals and contracts, Ethics and professional responsibilities, Continuing education and certification maintenance, Case studies and best practices.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
