Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 1 year of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Health Information Technician course is designed to train professionals in managing, organizing, and protecting health information in healthcare settings. The course covers medical records management, electronic health records (EHR), health data analysis, coding and classification systems, privacy and security regulations (such as HIPAA), and quality assurance practices.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 2: Medical Records and Documentation: Understanding Medical Records, Legal and Ethical Documentation Requirements, Electronic Health Records (EHR) Basics, Data Entry and Management, Maintaining Patient Privacy and Confidentiality, Quality Assurance in Documentation

Module 3: Coding and Classification Systems: Introduction to ICD, CPT, and HCPCS Codes, Principles of Medical Coding, Coding for Diagnosis and Procedures, Coding Accuracy and Compliance, Auditing and Error Detection, Updating Codes and Staying Current with Standards

Module 4: Health Data Management and Analysis: Data Collection and Validation, Data Storage and Retrieval, Health Informatics Systems, Data Security and Confidentiality, Reporting and Analytics for Decision-Making, Performance Monitoring and Quality Improvement

Module 5: Regulatory Compliance and Legal Aspects: HIPAA and Patient Privacy Laws, Compliance with Healthcare Regulations, Legal Responsibilities of Health Information Technicians, Risk Management and Reporting, Accreditation Standards, Ethical Considerations in Health Information
