Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Information Privacy Professional course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to manage and implement privacy policies and practices in compliance with global data protection regulations. The course covers privacy laws and regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA), data protection principles, consent management, privacy governance, risk assessment, and privacy impact assessments.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Privacy and Data Protection: Principles of privacy, Types of personal data, Data protection history and evolution, Key privacy concepts (consent, transparency, purpose limitation), Global privacy landscape, Privacy risks and challenges

Module 2: Legal and Regulatory Frameworks: GDPR overview, HIPAA and healthcare privacy, CCPA and consumer privacy laws, Other regional privacy laws (e.g., PIPEDA, LGPD), Cross-border data transfer regulations, Regulatory enforcement and penalties

Module 3: Privacy Governance and Program Management: Establishing a privacy program, Privacy policies and procedures, Roles and responsibilities (DPO, privacy officer), Privacy risk management, Privacy impact assessments, Training and awareness programs

Module 4: Data Lifecycle and Information Management: Data collection and minimization, Data retention and deletion, Data storage and classification, Data sharing and disclosure, Data quality and accuracy, Data subject rights management

Module 5: Privacy in Technology and Operations: Privacy by design and by default, Data security measures (encryption, access controls), Cloud and third-party data management, Mobile and IoT privacy considerations, Incident response and breach management, Privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs)

Module 6: Compliance, Auditing, and Accountability: Privacy audits and assessments, Monitoring and reporting, Metrics and KPIs for privacy program, Enforcement and regulatory reporting, Documentation and recordkeeping, Continuous improvement and accountability mechanisms

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
