Objective: The Certified Mutual Fund Professional course is designed to equip learners with practical knowledge of mutual fund products, investment strategies, risk profiling, and regulatory compliance. It prepares professionals to provide client-centric advice on fund selection, portfolio planning, and financial goal alignment, enabling them to work as trusted mutual fund distributors or investment advisors.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Mutual Funds: Concept and History of Mutual Funds, Structure of Mutual Funds in India, Types of Mutual Fund Schemes, Role of AMC, Trustees, and Sponsors, Benefits and Limitations of Mutual Funds, Key Terms – NAV, AUM, Expense Ratio.

Module 2: Regulatory Framework and Compliance: SEBI Regulations and Guidelines for Mutual Funds, AMFI Code of Conduct, KYC and FATCA Compliance, Investor Protection and Rights, Regulatory Disclosures and Documentation, Role of Mutual Fund Distributors.

Module 3: Mutual Fund Products and Categories: Equity Mutual Funds and Subtypes, Debt Mutual Funds and Subtypes, Hybrid Funds and Solution-Oriented Schemes, Index Funds and ETFs, Fund of Funds and International Funds, SIP, STP, and SWP Concepts.

Module 4: Mutual Fund Performance and Analysis: Measuring Fund Performance – CAGR, XIRR, Risk-adjusted Returns, Portfolio Holdings and Asset Allocation Analysis, Fund Rating and Comparison Tools, Expense Ratio and Exit Load Analysis, Understanding Scheme Objectives and Benchmarks.

Module 5: Financial Planning with Mutual Funds: Goal-based Investment Planning, Asset Allocation and Risk Profiling, Retirement and Education Planning, Tax Planning with ELSS Funds, SIP Planning and Wealth Creation Strategies, Rebalancing and Review Techniques.

Module 6: Client Interaction and Advisory Skills: Understanding Client Needs and Risk Appetite, Recommending Suitable Mutual Fund Products, Documentation and Application Process, Handling Investor Grievances, Communication and Counselling Skills, Ethical Practices and AMFI Exam Preparation.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
