Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Textile Product Designer course aims to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to design and develop innovative textile products for various applications including fashion, home furnishings, technical textiles, and industrial uses. The course covers material selection, fabric construction, surface design, product functionality, and sustainability considerations.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 2: Materials and Fiber Selection for Product Design: Understanding Different Types of Textile Materials (Natural, Synthetic, Blended), Fiber and Yarn Selection for Specific Product Types, Fabric Construction Methods (Weaving, Knitting, Nonwoven), Properties of Textiles (Durability, Comfort, Sustainability), Innovations in Textile Materials (Smart Textiles, Performance Fabrics), Sustainable and Eco-friendly Materials in Textile Product Design.

Module 3: Product Design Techniques and Development: Designing for Functionality and Aesthetics in Textile Products, Creating Concept Sketches and Prototypes, Developing Product Specifications and Technical Sheets, Incorporating Ergonomics and User Experience in Textile Products, Prototyping and Sampling for Textile Products, Developing Design Solutions for Specific Market Segments.

Module 4: Color Theory, Print, and Pattern Design: Understanding Color Theory and Its Application in Textile Product Design, Creating Color Palettes and Harmonies for Product Designs, Fabric Printing and Dyeing Techniques for Products, Designing Patterns and Motifs for Textile Products, Digital Printing and its Role in Product Design, Managing Color Consistency and Quality in Product Development.
