Objective: The Certified Construction Cost Estimation Professional course is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to accurately estimate costs for construction projects. Participants will learn to analyze project plans and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, evaluate material, labor, and equipment costs, and apply industry-standard estimation techniques. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Construction Cost Estimation: Role and responsibilities of a cost estimation specialist, Overview of construction project lifecycle, Importance of accurate cost estimation, Types of construction estimates (preliminary, detailed, conceptual), Key stakeholders in cost estimation, Trends and best practices in construction costing

Module 2: Construction Materials, Methods, and Unit Rates: Understanding construction materials and their costs, Labor and equipment cost analysis, Construction methods and productivity factors, Establishing unit rates, Material sourcing and procurement considerations, Impact of construction technology on costs

Module 3: Quantity Takeoff and Measurement Techniques: Principles of quantity takeoff, Measurement standards (BOMA, ASTM, local standards), Using drawings and specifications for estimation, Software tools for quantity takeoff, Accuracy and error reduction techniques, Integration with cost databases

Module 4: Cost Planning and Budgeting: Developing preliminary and detailed budgets, Cost allocation and project cost breakdown structures, Contingency and risk allowances, Lifecycle and sustainability cost considerations, Monitoring budget adherence, Reporting and communication of cost plans

Module 5: Estimating for Bids and Contracts: Preparing bid estimates and proposals, Competitive pricing strategies, Adjusting estimates for contract types (lump sum, cost-plus, design-build), Value engineering and cost optimization, Legal and contractual considerations, Submission and presentation of estimates

Module 6: Risk Management, Value Engineering, and Professional Development: Identifying and mitigating cost-related risks, Scenario analysis and sensitivity testing, Applying value engineering techniques, Continuous improvement in estimation processes, Maintaining professional ethics and integrity, Continuous learning and certification updates

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
