Objective: The Professional Diploma in Jewellery Design aims to develop creative and skilled jewellery designers with knowledge of design concepts, gemstones, materials, manufacturing techniques, and industry practices. Module 2: Gemology and Precious Materials: Introduction to Gemology, Classification of Gemstones, Identification of Precious and Semi-Precious Stones, Diamond Grading and Certification, Properties of Metals, Gold and Silver Characteristics, Platinum and Alternative Metals, Gemstone Cutting and Polishing, Jewellery Material Selection, Care and Maintenance of Gemstones.

Module 3: Jewellery Drawing and Design Techniques: Basics of Jewellery Sketching, Technical Drawing Methods, Rendering Techniques, Perspective Drawing, Design Composition, Colour Application in Jewellery Design, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Basics, 3D Jewellery Visualization, Design Portfolio Development, Presentation Techniques.

Module 4: Jewellery Manufacturing and Production: Jewellery Manufacturing Processes, Traditional Jewellery Making Techniques, Casting Methods, Fabrication Techniques, Stone Setting Methods, Soldering and Finishing Techniques, Engraving and Enamelling, Quality Control in Jewellery Production, Jewellery Tools and Equipment, Production Planning and Management.
